PSES SCHOOL-BASED FEEDING PROGRAM

School-Based Feeding Program is one of the projects of the Department of Education which aims is to lessen the severely wasted learners’ in all schools. Pulong Singkamas Elementary School is one of the recipients where there are 40 beneficiaries.
Deliveries of food packs were given weekly. The feeding coordinators inspected the food packs like the fruits and breads, to see if the items are in good condition and it is safe to give to the recipients.
Since we are in amidst of pandemic, children below 18 years old are not allowed to go outside so we distributed the food packs thru their parents during the weekly distribution of modules. During the distribution, parents and teachers followed the healthy protocols like often using alcohol or hand sanitizer, wearing face masks and social distancing to avoid direct contact and to be safe always.
Enough size and calorie number of foods were given to the recipients. It was calculated according to the nutrients that are needed by the body.
The 30 days school-based feeding program become successful with the cooperation of the school principal, teachers and parents of Pulong Singkamas Elementary School.
